This Privacy Policy explains what personal data IJARRO collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to ijarro.com and the IJARRO services.

- Account data: name, email, phone, password hash, profile photo.
- Verification data: government IDs, business documents, selfies — only when you apply for a verified role.
- Listings & transactions: property details, photos, messages, bookings, payments, payouts.
- Device & usage: IP address, user-agent, pages visited, abuse-prevention signals.

2. How we use it
- To operate the marketplace and process bookings and payouts.
- To verify identity, prevent fraud and protect users.
- To send transactional emails (verifications, receipts, status updates).
- To improve search, ranking and personalisation.
- To comply with legal and tax obligations.
3. Legal bases
We process personal data under one or more of these legal bases: performance of a contract with you, your consent, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in operating a safe marketplace.
4. Sharing
We share data only with: (a) other users when necessary to complete a transaction (e.g. a host sees a guest's name); (b) payment processors and KYC providers; (c) cloud infrastructure and email vendors acting as our processors; (d) authorities when required by law. We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Personal data may be processed outside your country of residence. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention
We retain account and transactional data for as long as your account is active, plus the period required to comply with tax, accounting and anti-fraud laws (typically 7 years). Verification documents are kept for as long as required by applicable KYC law.

IJARRO is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
