These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and IJARRO ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using ijarro.com you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. The IJARRO platform
IJARRO is an online marketplace that lets users discover, list, message about, and book properties, short-term stays, vehicles, businesses and related services across East Africa. We provide the technology and payment rails; transactions are between the buyer and the seller, host, landlord or owner ("Provider").
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
- You agree to provide accurate personal information and keep it current.
- You may not use IJARRO if you are barred under any applicable law.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users.
4. Listings and content
- You warrant that you own or have the right to list anything you publish.
- Listings must be accurate, lawful, and free from misleading claims.
- You grant IJARRO a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display your content for the purpose of operating the platform.
- We may remove any content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.
5. Bookings, payments and fees
Payments are processed by our payment partners. IJARRO charges a service fee disclosed at checkout. Providers receive payouts net of platform fees and applicable taxes. Refunds, cancellations and dispute handling are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Verification and trust
Some roles (landlord, host, dealer, broker, business) require verification. We may request government IDs, business documents or proof of ownership. Verification does not constitute an endorsement.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. Without limitation, you may not:
- Scam, defraud, or deceive other users.
- Circumvent IJARRO fees by moving transactions off-platform.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with our services.
- Post unlawful, hateful, sexual, violent or discriminatory content.
8. Disclaimers
IJARRO is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that listings, providers or third-party services will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
9. Limitation of liability
IJARRO's aggregate liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD 100. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold IJARRO harmless from claims arising out of your content, your transactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, abuse other users, or expose IJARRO to legal or financial risk.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Dar es Salaam, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
